Privacy Policy
- Hue Out never asks for your name, email address or phone number.
- No ads, no tracking across other apps or websites, and no third-party analytics.
- Your game progress stays on your iPhone. Our server only keeps what it needs for coins: a coin account, purchases, and the game records that earn or spend coins.
- You can delete your coin account and everything linked to it from inside the game: Settings → Delete account.
What stays on your iPhone
Hue Out saves your level progress and stars, daily puzzle results, stickers, sound and gameplay settings, a copy of your coin balance, and any game or coin actions that are waiting for a connection. The timer uses your iPhone's uptime clock to measure time between moves. This data stays on your device.
Your coin account
Coins, hints and extra time work through our coin server. The first time you use them, Apple gives the game a signed proof that this copy of Hue Out came from the App Store. Our server checks that proof with Apple and creates a coin account for it. The account is identified by an account number we create and Apple's app transaction ID, not by your name or email.
For each coin account the server keeps:
- the account number, Apple's app transaction ID, the App Store environment and a purchase tag that links new purchases to the account;
- coin purchases: Apple's transaction IDs, the pack and quantity, and any refund or reversal Apple reports;
- a record of coins earned, bought, spent and refunded;
- the game records needed to award and check coins and help: board and attempt IDs, your moves and undos on that board, win results, and hint and extra-time requests;
- purchase and refund notices that Apple sends us about your purchases.
We use this only to run the coin system: to give you the coins you earned or bought, restore your balance, honor refunds, and stop duplicate or invalid credits and charges.
Purchases
Apple handles payment. We never receive your Apple Account password or card number. Apple's privacy policy covers the purchase itself.
Game Center
If you sign in to Game Center, Hue Out may send your Par Challenge clear count to an Apple leaderboard. Apple runs Game Center under its own privacy policy.
Who handles this data
We do not sell your data or share it for advertising. These companies process it for us so the game can work:
- IONOS Inc. hosts our coin server and its database in the United States.
- Cloudflare, Inc. protects and delivers traffic to our server, so it handles connection details such as your IP address.
- Apple Inc. provides the App Store purchase system, purchase and refund notices, and Game Center.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the game and its players from fraud.
How long we keep it
- Coin account records are kept while your account exists.
- When you delete your account in Settings → Delete account, the coin account and all records linked to it are removed from our active database at once, and Hue Out removes its saved play data from your iPhone. Deleted coins can't be restored.
- Backups of our database are made daily and kept for 7 days, so deleted records leave our backups within 7 days. A backup taken right before server maintenance can be kept longer, and is removed when it is no longer needed.
- Server logs can include account and purchase IDs. We keep them only as long as we need them for security and troubleshooting.
Deleting the app by itself does not delete your coin account. Use Settings → Delete account first, or email us. Deleting your account does not cancel or refund Apple purchases. Apple keeps its own purchase history and Game Center data.
Children
Hue Out is a general-audience puzzle game. It doesn't ask for names, email addresses or other contact details, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.
Your choices
You can delete your coin account in the game at any time. You can also email [email protected] to ask what we hold about your account, or to have it deleted. Include the details from the game's Settings so we can find it.
Security
The game talks to our server only over encrypted HTTPS connections. Access to the server and database is limited to the people who run Hue Out.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
